Thank you Volunteers for making our school Beautiful!

We had an amazing turnout for our Earth Day Clean Up party on Saturday, April 22nd.  Thank you to Ms. Chaput, Ellen Zoffel and many others including our wonderful teachers who took time out of their busy schedules to help make our school more beautiful for our kids.  We have other good news to share soon on a sponsorship for our Sustainable Garden.  You can check out the photo gallery below or post your own on our facebook page! You may have also noticed the new and improved Lafayette sign in the front and the newly painted lockers!  The team is busy finishing up the rest of the school but so far it looks great!

Logo Contest is underway! All entries due 2/17

Create something that will be a part of your school’s history!

That’s right, a logo isn’t something that is used once or twice. It becomes a
part of your schools’ history! The winner(s) of this contest will see their logo on school spirit wear, the Lafayette Elementary and PTA Web sites, plus on handouts that go home and around the school grounds for years to come!

What is a logo?

  • It QUICKLY lets people know who you are
  • It can be a simple picture or symbol
• It can be just words
• It can be words and a picture/symbol together

Think about who we are. What images come to mind? Draw them quickly. Don’t get too detailed. A logo must be able to be viewed big on a poster, or small on an envelope, so simple images work the best.

We want all your ideas and sketches. You are welcome to submit as many logo designs as you want. You can work on them with a friend too!

The winner(s) of the contest will get an opportunity to work with a professional design team to take their logo from a sketch on a piece of paper to a finished design!

Please make sure you include your full name, grade and room number on all the logos you submit for the contest.
