PTA Town Hall – Thanks for coming out! Here are the notes!

Thanks to all of the parents that could attend the PTA Town Hall on Thursday, May 11th. In addition, the PTA Budget was passed for the year 2017/18.  We will post the full budget on our website shortly.

Logo Contest is underway! All entries due 2/17

Create something that will be a part of your school’s history!

That’s right, a logo isn’t something that is used once or twice. It becomes a
part of your schools’ history! The winner(s) of this contest will see their logo on school spirit wear, the Lafayette Elementary and PTA Web sites, plus on handouts that go home and around the school grounds for years to come!

What is a logo?

  • It QUICKLY lets people know who you are
  • It can be a simple picture or symbol
• It can be just words
• It can be words and a picture/symbol together

Think about who we are. What images come to mind? Draw them quickly. Don’t get too detailed. A logo must be able to be viewed big on a poster, or small on an envelope, so simple images work the best.

We want all your ideas and sketches. You are welcome to submit as many logo designs as you want. You can work on them with a friend too!

The winner(s) of the contest will get an opportunity to work with a professional design team to take their logo from a sketch on a piece of paper to a finished design!

Please make sure you include your full name, grade and room number on all the logos you submit for the contest.

SUBMIT ALL ENTRIES TO THE SCHOOL OFFICE BY FEBRUARY 17, 2017
