As the saying goes…it takes a village. Ok, well hopefully not an entire village, but we sure could use a few volunteers to help us make the 2013 Lafayette Auction a success! If you think you would like to help us make this fun event the most successful auction yet, we want you! We are looking for parents or family members who are willing to help with multiple jobs before, during and after the event. These jobs range from event setup or making bid sheets to being a “runner” or registrations person. After the event we will need assistance with breakdown and haul-off. We would appreciate any help that you are willing to provide! Also if you have a flair with décor and/or design the auction committee is looking for a “Decorations chair or chairs”! The third annual auction will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Hall at Fauntleroy from 5:30 – 11:00 PM. This year’s event has the theme Luna Park Boardwalk Night. There will be a mini silent auction, a live auction (hopefully including art from every classroom), dessert dash and several games of chance. This will be a great opportunity for parents and staff to get to know each other a little better and build community – while raising a little money for our great school! Tickets will be $65 per person and include a lovely dinner catered by Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes. More information about how to purchase your tickets will be available shortly.
Lafayette would not be the wonderful school that it is today without help from the community. Here are six things that you can do to help raise money without any additional expense to you!
1. Register your Safeway card on eScrip.com
Register your Safeway Club Card at http://eScrip.com and enroll “Lafayette Elementary PTA” or by using the Group ID 8563870. The PTA can receive up to 4% of your monthly purchases from Safe- way. Encourage your friends and families to also register their Safeway cards.
2. Buy a PCC Natural Markets Scrip card
Order a PCC scrip card and the Lafayette PTA will earn 5% of your purchases. These cards come loaded with $25 but are refillable up to $1000. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to purchase a card.
3. Shop on Amazon.com
When you shop on Amazon.com using our referral link, a percentage of your purchase goes directly back to the school! Tell your family and friends! The URL is: www.amazon.com/?tag=lafayette-20. Bookmark it and ALWAYS use it when you shop on Amazon.com.
4. Get a Bartell Drugs ‘B’ Caring Card
The ‘B’ Sharing Card enables up to 4% of your Bartell Drugs purchases to be contributed to our school. Ask a Bartell Drugs cashier for a registration form, register online at http://eScrip.com, or call 800-931-6258.
5. Shop at the eScrip Online Mall
You can shop at over 800 of your favorite online merchants and earn Lafayette a percentage of your purchases! Visit http://tinyurl.com/escripmall and if prompted, click ‘Add’ next to ‘Lafayette Elementary School PTA’. Shop online this way and Lafayette earns money automatically.
