Welcome from the PTA

Welcome to the Lafayette Community

Dear Fellow Lafayette Elementary Parents/Guardians,

On behalf of the Lafayette PTA, a big welcome back to our returning families, students and teachers. To our new families and staff: We are excited to welcome you to the Lafayette community! I hope you all enjoyed your summer and are ready for a successful 2016/2017 school year.

With your support the PTA can continue to make Lafayette academically successful and help to enrich our students experiences. The Lafayette Community is based on vibrant parent involvement. Whether it is your time, knowledge, or resources, your contributions make a difference. We invite you to become an involved member at Lafayette and with the PTA. You can become an official PTA member or renew your membership on the PTA’s website or by returning the PTA’s form that went home in the first day of school packet. Thank you for helping in any way that you can, and showing your children the importance that you place on their education!

Please bookmark the Lafayette PTA’s website, lafayettepta.com and visit it frequently to stay informed and connected to all Lafayette news and current events (news, calendar, volunteer information, etc). You may also sign up for our email bulletins. And there are even more ways to stay on top of it all: ‘Like’ us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter (@LafayettePTA), too!

I also hope you will join the monthly PTA meetings, the first of which is on Thursday, September 29th and coincides with Curriculum Night. The evening begins at 6:00 pm – unfortunately child care is not provided (but it is provided at all the other PTA Meetings). Please check our website calendar for all the upcoming events and future PTA meetings.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or another PTA Board Member. Please know that questions and suggestions are always welcome!

Jac Howard
PTA President
