Hoedown Auction Items– Are you ready to Bid? March 31st 5pm the doors open….

Why should you go? It’s for the kids! 

This is the 2nd big and amazing fundraiser for the school year which goes directly to supporting our students, teachers, and community.  The auction provides essential services for our students. These funds provide resources which include but are not limited to; Curriculum Materials,  Enrichment Opportunities,  Community Events (Skate night!), Tutoring, Counseling Resources, Room/Teacher Supplies and Technology.  This event along with Walk-a-Thon support the real funding gaps in our school.  On a lighter note, this is a FUN event and provides a way to foster our community spirit.  If you decide to stay home you cannot bid on the some of the amazing things available such as…..

  • Autographed Pearl Jam Concert Poster from Austin 2014
  • Weekend at a Cabin at Stevens Pass
  • Cruise at Elliot Bay for 4
  • Dinner for 4 at the Butchers Table

  • West Seattle Bowling Party hosted by the Staff

Tickets are on Sale! 

Buy your Early bird Auction tickets by February 19th. 

Tickets:  Purchase by February 19th @ $65.00/person or $130/couple or secure a table of 10 for $650.

Special Ticket alert for new incoming parents “This IS my 1st RODEO “ tickets  are available for $25.00 to be able to be part of your kids community between 5pm – 7pm during Cocktail Hour.

After February 19th tickets will go up to $80/person, $160/couple or secure a table of 10 for $800.

The Lafayette Elementary PTA auction supports the great programs and resources that help our children succeed at school. It cannot be done without YOUR help! Volunteers are needed to make the evening a success! Check out the opportunities on our Signup genius page.

Bakery Items Needed – Walk-a-Thon Friday, November 3rd


Walk A Thon Bake Sale!

We need Baked Goods!!! Homemade or store bought whatever is easiest

Suggested items- brownies, cookies, mini cupcakes, muffins, bagged popcorn(always a big hit), snack mix, fruit snacks, scones…

Please bring items to the cafeteria stage Thursday or the bake sale tent on Friday

Kids will want to bring small amount of change to purchase the items after their run time.

Mark your Calendars for FIELD DAY!!! June 23rd

Friday 6/23 from 12:30pm – 2:00pm.

Field Day is a ton of fun and we will need a lot of parent volunteers!  Signup Genius link is below– 

Field Day is a celebration of the end of the school year with a lot of activities and games.  We will have fun stations like water balloon toss, rope climbing, 3-legged race, ring toss, etc and of course, a cold treat!  The stations are both inside the school and outside on the playground, each run by a teacher and at least one parent volunteer.

Please mark your calendars and consider helping out!

Thank you to our Golden Acorn Winners for 2016-17! Ken Bodensteiner and Leslie Francis. Your dedication and volunteerism has made a big difference at Lafayette for many years!

What is a Golden Acorn Award? A Golden Acorn Award is presented by a local PTA or council to a school or community volunteer in recognition of her or his dedication and service to children and youth. Since the beginning of this program in the 1930s, more than 54,000 Golden Acorn Awards have been presented to volunteers throughout Washington state. Recipients receive a certificate and pin, and a contribution is made in their name to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Program that benefits students.
