School Supplies 2018/2019

Dear Lafayette Families,

We want to get the word out before summer break that for the second year in a row, the Lafayette PTA will be purchasing school supplies in bulk for all students for the 2018-19 school year.  The goal of the school supply program is to simplify purchasing and make the process more equitable, economical, and efficient for families as well as for our teachers.  We need your help to cover these costs in support of this program.  We are keeping costs as low as possible and ask each family to contribute $40 per student. Your payment covers all standard needs for one student (except a personal backpack, lunchbox and water bottle).  The PTA is committed to ensuring that every student has the supplies they’ll need for a great school year.  Once the supplies are delivered, we will need volunteers to help organize and distribute.  Please contact Project Coordinator Julia Wester to volunteer.

To get the school supplies “to-do” off of your list now, make your $40 per student contribution by clicking the button below and be sure to put “School Supplies” along with the name of your student(s) in the note section.

Thank you in advance for supporting the Lafayette PTA and our school supply program.

Red Nose Day – Thanks for participating! Fun photos of the day! Plus King 5 News coverage

The PTA was proud to support the school on Red Nose Day, see some pictures below….and Ms. Ferguson’s class was featured on King 5 news!

What is Red Nose Day?

Red Nose Day is a fundraising campaign run by the non-profit organization Comic Relief Inc., a registered U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity.  Red Nose Day brings people together to have fun, raise money and change the lives of kids who need our help the most.

Red Nose Day launched in the US in 2015, dedicated to ending child poverty, both in the US and in some of the poorest communities in the world. The money raised by Red Nose Day in the US has benefited programs for children and young people in all 50 states and in 34 countries internationally.

Globally, Red Nose Day has raised over $1 billion since its launch in the UK in 1988.

The money raised by Red Nose Day benefits children in some of the neediest communities in the US and some of the poorest communities in the world. Partner charities include Boys & Girls Clubs of America; charity: water; Children’s Health Fund; Covenant House; Feeding America; Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance; UnidosUS; Save the Children and The Global Fund.

All of Red Nose Day’s grant money supports projects to keep children and young people safe, healthy, educated and empowered. You can find out more about the amazing programs we fund through Red Nose Day at www.rednoseday.org/impact
