Lafayette PTA Enrichment Program
Spring 2018 Registration Information

Spring Session begins Monday, April 2nd and ends Friday, June 15th, unless otherwise noted. Session is approximately 10 weeks long. A few classes will go for nine weeks due to holidays, etc. Cost for those classes remains at rate noted.

Registrations are due by Wednesday, March 28th (No classes during Spring Break or Memorial Day only)

Classes with a stated maximum limit will be determined by lottery. Late registrations will be considered by PTA Enrichment coordinator.  See class details on our website page.

Two ways to register: On line (processed in real time) OR paper enrollment (processed at same time as on line). If enrolling by paper, please fill out and hand in last two pages of the document to the PTA Command Center’s Drop Slot. Parents will receive an email confirmation prior to the start of the session. You can pick up the paper at the office or download Spring 2018 Enrollment Form.

Full and Partial Scholarships are available to families who request them, no questions asked, for one class per child per session with maximum total scholarship of $200. Please note that scholarships are funded through the proceeds of the PTA Enrichment Program itself, i.e. from all our families. Our goal is to be all-inclusive but also self-sustaining. Please carefully consider the needs of your family when deciding whether to request a scholarship. Scholarship requests will be kept confidential. If the demand for scholarships is too great, the PTA may need to limit the number of scholarships awarded.

Email Enrichment Coordinator Kathy Johnson, at with any questions.

The Seattle School System is launching a text messaging service in February 2018 to help us stay up to date. Please read and take desired action!

Dear Families,

In February 2018, Seattle Public Schools is launching text messaging to help you stay up to date. Text messaging will be used in addition to our current communication methods.

Because text messaging is a new service for our district, we are launching the feature in phases. The districtwide text messages you can expect as we roll out this new service are:

  • School break and schedule reminders
  • Weather-related or urgent situation schedule changes
  • Major districtwide announcements

We encourage all parents and guardians to opt-in for this service. The district will be able to provide translated notices to families who prefer communications in Amharic, Chinese, Spanish, Somali and Vietnamese.

The process to opt-in to text messaging is simple and you can remove your cellphone number from this service at any time.

To subscribe: text the word ‘yes’ to the number 675-87.

You will know you were successful if you receive the following reply message in English, “You’re registered 4 SchoolMessenger notifications. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help MSG and data rates may apply. Msg freq varies.”

You will need to repeat this process for any cellphone that you wish to include.

The district will be officially launching the new service in February 2018, so until then you will not receive further text messages from Seattle Public Schools.

Please note, although the district does not charge you for this service, it does not pay for text message charges that may be incurred by you for sending or receiving text messages. Check with your cellular phone provider for possible charges.

You can read more about this new service on our website.

If you have any questions, please email or call 206-252-0200.
