For Black History Month, we are so excited to have Seattle JazzED coming to Lafayette for an all-school assembly on Thursday, February 8th at 8:30am to teach our students more about the history and roots of jazz music!
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
JazzED Black History Month Assembly is a 45-minute-long event.
Our Black History Month assembly is intended to be a whole school event and is tailored for students in grades K-5.
Students in grades 3-5 receive priority enrollment to our Summer Jazz Foundations camp.
JazzED will provide all necessary assembly equipment and materials.
In the Assembly, students learn the historical roots of jazz as a Black American art form, how jazz musicians use music to express feelings, and are introduced to musical instruments. This event is only for students.
