Advocacy Day in Olympia!
On January 30th, 2025 communities from across Washington will converge on Olympia to hold the ultimate Billion Dollar Bake Sale as part of an Statewide Advocacy Day for Public Schools! This will be a fun way to build community, get trained in advocacy, and to make our demands clear to the legislature:
Prevent devastating school district cuts for 2025-26
Secure at least $4 billion per year of stable long-term funding for K-12 public education
Commit to making Washington State a leader in public education
Safety Team Update
We wanted to send a reminder that the only non-faculty adults who should be in the building during school hours are those who are volunteering.
If you are volunteering, please make sure to enter from the front of the school so that you can sign in at the office. Ultimately, your child’s safety is our biggest priority, and this can help us make sure everyone they interact with when they’re here is an approved adult.
Ultimate Frisbee Coaches Needed!
We are still searching for parents interested in coaching and volunteering for Ultimate. We had a third-grade team last year but are planning to expand to have a third, fourth, and fifth grade team. We are aware of considerable interest this year and are looking for additional coaches.
Kindergarten Open House/ Tours
Future Kindergarten families can come tour our school in January!

Elementary Recess Laws ‘24-’25
Did you know?
Recess is guaranteed for elementary school students in Washington state starting this school year. That means all kids in grades K-5 will have access to the benefits of recess. Play is critical to child development, and recess is one of the best opportunities for youth to be physically active. If you believe these aren't being met for your child, talk to your child's teacher or principal.
