GOLDEN ACORN AWARD RECIPIENT ANNOUNCED
Congratulations to this year's Golden Acorn Award winner, Amber Zeddies!
Amber has worn many many hats while her kids were here; PTA President, Room Parent, Events Chair multiple years, Yearbook Coordinator, Walk-a-Thon lead and more.
And while titles and responsibilities cement her volunteer resume, the truth is, she made such an impact because fun followed wherever she led. Our students were always her top priority. Their interests and their learning drove every decision she made.
Amber, we can't remember a time in recent years that you weren't involved in making things happen at our school and in our community. Thank you for all of the hours of smiles and highfives you gave us. We will truly miss your presence here.

‘23-’24 “Welcome Kinder” Playdate Volunteers Needed!
Calling all current Kinder families! We’re looking for 2-3 volunteers to lead the “Welcome Kinder” playdates before next school year. We’d like to begin a new tradition where our rising 1st grade families help welcome incoming kindergartners with this activity since you’re now veterans.
The exact dates are decided by “Welcome Kinder” volunteer families, are typically held at Hiawatha or the Lafayette school playground, sometimes families procure light snacks (reimbursable by the PTA), and are attended by other PTA Board members.
Email if you’re interested in planning these fun events!
